Helen Green design is delighted to announce that we have been appointed to design an apartment for a private client in the beautifully restored Grade II listed building, Harcourt House. This grand Edwardian building is enriched with British history, it was initially purchased by the 1st Earl Harcourt in 1773 and extended and modified by the 2nd Earl Harcourt. It then came into the possession of the dukes of Portland in the 19th century. Architect Samuel Ware managed the building and designed the stabling at that time and Thomas Cundy Jr. performed the alterations. It was recognised as a symbol of aristocratic homes.Overlooking Cavendish square, the building had been transformed into one of the finest residential developments with high ceiling heights, spacious facilities, 2 reception rooms and a fully equipped gym, sauna, and steam room. The interior elegantly maintains historic decorative elements on the walls and antique stained-glass windows while giving it a modern twist with the wooden panel flooring, marble kitchens and bathrooms, and sleek finishes.
